User Synchronisation
The following is the procedure to perform a user sync between software(s). Before a sync is performed the plugin should be configured and set as Master or Slave.
On the Joomla administration menu go to “Components - JFusion - New User Sync”.
The following are the settings that are configurable on the user sync screen;
Direction of sync
The first drop down box decides the direction of user sync i.e. Master to Slave which implies copying users from Master software to slave software or Slave to Master which implies copying users from Slave software to Master.
Plugins to be included
The user is free to choose the plugin(s) to be included in the user sync. To include or exclude the plugin choose the appropriate option from the second drop down box.
Normal/Advanced Output
Decides the output of the user sync. As the name suggests the Advanced mode shows relatively more information about the performed user sync than the normal mode.
User Syncs with large number of users
Apache timeouts *are* going to be a major problem for large usersyncs. If your User Syncs fail unexpectedly at the 5 minute mark (ie. 300) seconds read this post for a workaround.
