Possible Work For Hire - LiveCart & Joomla
Hi, my web guy (who is not experienced with JFusion), but is a programmer, attempted to create an integration between my shopping cart, Live Cart www.livecart.com and Joomla. He said he was not able to do it, however, I don't yet know the reason. What I am hoping to accomplish is a universal "my account" area where the user can update his email address, see his past orders, etc... I don't have a big budget, so if there's someone that perhaps wants to gain experience creating an actual integration, that would be great. I will of course compensate you for the work..

Re: Possible Work For Hire - LiveCart & Joomla
I am evaluating what I think needs to be done. I believe I don't need to have visual integration because that's already mostly done for my site. I think all I need is the single sign on mechanism so users don't have to register twice.
You see, the Joomla site only exists to support the shopping cart, the products. By that I mean, we provide photo gallery, video gallery, free lessons. All of this establishes credibility and causes someone to go to the store and buy our products.
But my question is about the registration process itself. For example, some people will want to register in order to get access to a free member area (Joomla). But others will want to purchase without wanting any of the free stuff.
In the first scenario, I think that the person would register in Joomla. And later if they want to buy, then they're already registered in the LiveCart system and just have to fill in the rest of the information during checkout such as shipping address, billing address, phone...
But in the second scenario, they wouldn't register through Joomla. And I read that one of the registration systems must be disabled for JFusion to work? Please advise me on this?
