Thank you for making jFusion.
Hi,
I've been experimenting with jFusion, and I'm very impressed. So far, I've had the best test results with jFusion and MyBB, so I'll try to remind people over there how important jFusion is.
Thank you for making jFusion into a powerful tool.

I would lik to thank you Dynamic on part of the whole JFusion Team. Weird that you would call MyBB as our best plugin. It hasn't been serviced for ages now.
But yes it is an important plugin and shall be taken up by someone in the MyBB community considering we have brought it this far.

I tried to follow every detail related to SMF, (the compression, cookies, etc) and still had problems.
phpBB I don't remember exactly what went wrong.
MyBB was easy because I'm more familiar with it.
Also, (I haven't searched for this topic yet) the plugins won't copy, so I can use more than one.
I'm getting a "wrong file format" error. ".zip not allowed must be .gz or .__" ??
That is very close to the exact error message. I'll look for answers here.
Thanks

Re: Thank you for making jFusion.
I was quite impressed with MyBB.
My read of the dev posts on their forums suggests that they want to be a "Whole CMS" one day.
They may be reluctant to support bundling MyBB with Joomla because that is against their longer term goal.
MyBB currently is NOT a full CMS.
MyBB should support their plugin as a service to their users.
It is not rocket science: if MyBB had a full CMS, no one would want to use Joomla (with Jfusion).

Me too...
Starting with the very first hour I touched it, MyBB quickly became a favorite Open Source product.
* Intuitive and easy to use
* Fun to experiment with
* Secure (they recently paid for a pro security audit of the major upgrade)
* A great platform to learn newbie to advanced-level PHP
* Fast speeds on shared hosting
* Easy to learn to modify both design and code (once you understand all the templates are in the database)
What more can you ask for for free?

I'm not sure about the exact plans (more about 'MyCMS' below)

Sure it's not, and...
I have a couple of 100% private (solo) forums which I use as a form of CMS for notes, ideas, code, plans, links, rough drafts, etc. 'MyCMS' (MyBB used as a CMS) is the one content management system where I get the most done and keep tending to use.

I know, I've been talking about jFusion in several threads lately. The MyBB plugin for jFusion was done due to the effort of one single person (at the start), and I'm glad he did it. Someday, I'll be better able to help with writing code.

Joomla 1.5 is really a great upgrade. My first experiences with Mambo and Joomla 1.0 were a complete waste of time. The huge improvement makes Joomla a nice option for some uses.
IMO, jFusion is is really useful, and I hope the fast development continues.
ps. Does Joomla have a good user points / virtual cash / income system?
I'll search the extension area, anyone know of one they like?
