I've installed Jfusion/phpbb in frameless mode. I need a chat for the index page of the forum and i've check a phpbb mod, Ajax Tag Board 4 phpbb3. I've installed this mod correctly, but doesn't work in framelless mode. In the wrapper instead, it works.
Is a problem of relative links?

The same thing happened with the famous mod mchat...

I suspect many mods are incompatible with frameless.

Need this solution too.

With mChat get "[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file /var/www/scream/administrator/components/com_jfusion/plugins/phpbb3/public.php on line 514: parse_url(javascript://): Unable to parse URL" + some JS errors in the console.

One temporary solution that seems to work fine initially at least:
Don't run mChat from within phpBB which in turns runs inside Joomla. Instead create a Joomla menu of type iframe and put the link to mChat in the iframe url.
