Please help me to brige Joomla 1.5.15 with vBulletin 4.0.2.
When i used JFusion to brige Joomla 1.5.15 with vBulletin 4.0.2.
Firstly everything is ok, I config Joomla is master, vBulletin is slave and i use Dual login. But i can't to login at vBulletin. I use function "forget password at vBulletin". After that i use password that i received via email and it succeed. I think that JFusion doesn't support with vBulletin 4.0.2.
Please help me. Thanks

So now you have probably different passwords for the two sites? Did you ever do a user sync when setting JFusion up?

I think that if your users and passwords aren't already identical in both sites, there's no way that JFusion can log you in to both sites. This is what the "user sync" function is for.

Also: you aren't likely to get much more help here if you don't include the output of your login checker. Go to your JFusion, go to Login Checker, provide the credential of a user who has the exact same username and password on both sites, and then select and copy all of the messages which the Login Checker returns from the test. Then paste all that into your next message here at the Support forum.

Also, I don't think JFusion officially support vB 4 yet, but user sync and dual login should work.

Did you start with an empty vBulletin 4.0.2 user base and then synced them from Joomla to vBulletin? And if so, did you try to login to Joomla or vBulletin first?

If you tried to loging to vBulletin first, then it will fail. The reason is that when you do a user sync, JFusion only has access to the hashed versions of the users' passwords and thus simply copies them from one to the other. Joomla hashes its passwords one way and vBulletin another. So, when you attempt to login to vBulletin directly after doing a sync for the first time, the password will be hashed in Joomla's way which vBulletin does not understand and thus login will fail. If you login to Joomla first then JFusion, which can interpret both Joomla and vBulletin's password hashes, converts the password into a format vBulletin understands and then you can successfully login to vbulletin without a problem. We are working on a way to remedy this problem for JFusion 2.0 with no ETA. For now, you will simply have to be creative in in getting your users to login to Joomla first for the first time.

There should be no problems with JFusion and vBulletin 4.0.2 as long as you read up in the announcement section.

Thanks,
Alan
