dual login works from master but not slave. please help :)

I have Joomla running as a master and VBulletin as a slave. If you log into joomla everything appears to be working great and users are also logged into VBulletin. If however you try the reverse and log into the forums first you get logged into the forums, and the who's online module(in Joomla), but you do not get logged into Joomla.

3. What steps will reproduce the problem?
Log into the forums. then navigate to Joomla

4. What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to log in to either location and be logged into both.

5. You must include a printout of the login checker in the JFusion component.
