only way i would be able to "fix" this would be to have super admin access but i would also need ftp access, and do debugging meaning while doing that site would be down fro time to time.

That's no problem. I can give you cpanel, ssh, ftp, whatever you want. And this is a 'test' site set aside for just this kind of thing.

Sorry .. Holidays came between.. Meanwhile I have freshly installed latest versions of Joomla, Jfusion and Dokuwiki. SMF and Gallery2 are still ontouched (this is live in use). Usersync works fine from SMF to Joomla, and to Gallery2. I have changed the plain.class.php as described above.. Now usersync is working fine (no corruption) but extremely slow.. Any suggestions ?

Let me correct this.. After a while users get entered twice in the users.auth.php... Can it be that the sync option in Joomla starts a second instance of the sync script ?

how many users do you try to sync in each "badge" ?

Hi Fanno,

Default in the box is 500. Should I try lower?
Syncing (from Master SMF) to Joomla and to Gallery2 is pretty fast.. no problems there.
But when syncing to DokuWiki this really goes slow.. say about 500 users per half an hour.
And when I take a look at the users.auth.php I see after a while double user entries..
same user several times, only different passwords... I really would like to get this working for dokuwiki as well.

Edit : Just tried wih 50 per batch.. same result.. slow and duplicates :
