Fanno with all due respect i realize that you guys must keep release jfusion updates and maintaining all other plugins and on top of that you have regular jobs and social life but .... but come on - 24 hours in a day counting like 2 years since this topic was open results 17,520 hours just to update the old plugin to work with latest IPB and yet from several developers nobody took IPB into consideration to release a robust plugin even when community express the will to pay for it.

IPB and Vbulletin are the 2 most popular commercial forum platforms, yet we have jfusion support only for one of them.
We rely on you since Jfusion is so powerfull ... some start-up businesses rely on this also.
There is also that IPBWI framework that maybe you can use for IPB side of scripting, you know Jfusion from within the core up ... should be a pretty straight forward plugin to develop ( i am just assuming, i am not a programmer ).

Community members ... does anybody wants to participate in a "group donation" in order to pay the developers to develop this ? I will gladly do it. Maybe this way they can get paid and develop this plugin at last ...

If we can have a straight price and a deadline for plugin release members can make some donations to cover the development.

What do you think?

There are some issues providing a plugin for JFusion:
1. IPB is commercial, so a free open source plugin will not become available from the JFusion team as far as I know
2. IPB is encrypted source. That makes developing very time consuming, so a commercial plugin will be expensive.

That said, and because you guys keep asking I'm willing to see wht I can do, just because I love to get a plugin going for encrypted software so if one of you posesses a current zend encrypted file i will have alook at it and let you know if I see changes to get it on the market for say something like € 49.

Hwevers, i can't have enough words to thank you for your involvment into plugin development for IPB. ;)

IPB is commercial software and makes sense that a IPB plugin for Jfusion should be commercial too.
Consider me the first client for this plugin :D . I am 100% percent if you will release a robust and stable jfusion plugin for IPB it will sell big time. Put it simple - there is NO integration available between the two.
I will pay the price for this plugin right away when you finish it and release the stable version.

As far as i know IPB is "open-source", not encrypted at all. I took a look at the code and didn't see any encryption.

If you need a official IPB 3.2 version (downloaded from IPS itself) to work on i can provide you one ..
Also, there is a free API out there developed by Matthias. Matthias developed this API for IPB and thru his API any software can be integrated very easy with IPB.
So, if this helps you and makes the development more easy or makes you to understand mor easy "the way" to "talk" to IPB, acces the API page below:

Ok, let's get this moving then. I see that have looked up requirements for ip.nexus that contains encrypted code.

It looks like there is enough information available to code a JFusion plugin and when there is demand, a DSLO module later in the development traject.

As for selling big... We will see, I have heared that before :) . Let's take some discussion out of here, and find a way to send me the code so I can install a version on my development server.
Please contact me at support@breincoach.eu

I'm not sure how fast I can get the plugin ready, I have more (payed) work to do, but I assume we can have a stable version by the end of the year, if not earlier.

Got it. Alas setup needs a licensed. No way to run in in demo mode or so. I'll see what I can do about this (:-)_, but this will take more time than inticipated.

I wanted to add that I'm regularly (every couple of months) checking on whether or not JFusion will update to support IPB and I would -- NO QUESTIONS ASKED -- pay for this add-on. It is an absolute must for my web site and I've been hoping each time when I pop into these forums that something has moved forward with it.

I would also be totally willing to front some cash to get development kickstarted as long as we can get a target date for completion. (I'm currently beginning work on updating my site to Joomla 2.5 and I'd love to be able to lump everything together when I'm finished a few months from now.)

Please, let's make this happen!
