Where can i hire someone good with Jfusion?

Postby webssolutions on Fri Mar 06, 2009 9:22 pm

Hello we post this at joomlancers...maybe here can i get the right guy

We are using the JFUSION ACTIVITY MODULE for PHPBB3, so it now display the Name article, date article and the username that publish the article, so what we need is that this module can grab the post of specific users (just the post that the moderators publish should appear on this module) too we should add the thumbnail image of the user (could be 50x50) and should have the option to change the size, too the option to publish or not a little intro.

If here is the right guy please contact us over skype or msn
Regards
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

We can help you with this, as this would give our developers the opportunity to make a small earning while improving the JFusion project. The other added benefit is that when these improvement are done by us, is that when you want to upgrade to the latest JFusion package, you don't have to start another joomlancers project to make you custom activity mod compatible with the latest details.

PM me the details of the project (timeline, maybe a screenshot of how you want it to look and your budget) and I will find out who of the JFusion Development team has the time to undertake this project.

Thanks, Marius

I think your budget for developing a new jfusion plugin is very low and therefore does not generate much interest.

It would take most people at least one day to complete and then in addition would requires more time to communicate by email, get server access, support, etc etc. A person could get the same amount of salary by working for McDonalds for a day. Therefore a more specialised developers tend not to take on these projects for that budget, as it is almost never worth their effort.

Try getting a couple of webpages designed for 100 dollars (you will have trouble finding someone good to do this). If you can't get someting simple for that budget, you should understand that more complex integration projects won't generate much interest at 100 dollars as well.

Thanks, Marius

There are losts of freelance PHP bidding sites where people get bids for around 100 dollars for custom coding. It works for some people, but I have heard stories about very bad code comming from these "work for 5 dollars an hour" developers.

Developers on the jfusion team do custom plugin development, but prices will be between $500-2000 depending on what you need. Of course not everybody has this sort of budget available for their site, but if you do please send me a PM and we can get a developer onto your project asap.

Thanks, Marius

People are always interested, if the price is right. JFusion didn't cost you anything, the support here is free, helpful and friendly! The project works by everyone contributing something, for someone to take time away from the whole community and focus it on one individual then their time needs to be paid for.

I'm sure if you posted your budget and it was realistic a freelancer will pickup your project for you and complete it. In my spare time I rather help people then have the stress of being contractually obligated to complete commercial work for less that my time is worth. I think most people would view it the same way.

Why not have a go at modifying it yourself to start with? Start a topic and post, i'm sure as you go you can have some help free along the way from the community but you need to make a start somewhere yourself.
