elgg frameless option
hi guys,
I'm trying to integrate elgg 1.7 with joomla using jfusion but I can't use frameless option. When I'm using frameless I'm getting this error "No output buffer was generated by this JFusion plugin."
As far as I know I should see the elgg page on the entire screen.
If I use wrapper I see only a frame and I don't want that.
Thanks

Dug, can you please elaborate on "custom mods?" I am currently hacking Elgg for frame-less integration into Joomla and any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Re: elgg frameless option
Sorry I couldn't respond earlier - time is the enemy.
OK here's what I have done.
* Roll your own Joomla! mod_wrapper. This one needs to take a "url" parameter from the url itself.
* Put some Javascript in your Elgg template's pageshell.php. This needs to check that the top.document.URL either (a) starts with the right bit of URL or (b) doesn't start with the wrong bit of URL. It depends on your site. In any case if this is wrong it needs to set top.document.location to call your custom Joomla! mod_wrapper with the current Elgg URL as a parameter.
You can get flash and do a few other integration kind of things too. One good thing is to encode/decode the URL you pass so it's easy to handle as a string and less easily hacked by the casual user.
Hopefully that makes sense...
Cheers!

No worries, I hope it works out for you.
And hopefully my JFusion issues are sorted soon so I can remove the less elegant JKonnect
