With great pleasure I would like to announce that we have a new programmer join the JFusion development team that will work on Joomla-Elgg integration. He is very experienced with Joomla development and already has got a working JFusion Elgg plugin that has user sync / dual login capabilities. Full frameless visual integration has already been shown to work as well (using Morten's universal frameless model) and John-Paul will be working to bring full Elgg integration to Joomla.

Its great to have you on board John-Paul and we are all looking forward to a complete Joomla-Elgg integration using JFusion.

Here's the profile of John Paul:

Location: Rochester, NY, United States of America
Team Role: Elgg Plugin Developer

I'm John-Paul (JP), a web analyst for the Rochester Institute of Technology. I have been developing websites for several years and use Joomla to power many of them. I stumbled upon JFusion looking for a good way to bring a wiki into Joomla. I later played around with an open source social-networking tool called Elgg and realized that JFusion Elgg support would be useful. I began work on it and realized this would be a great opportunity to get involved with the JFusion team. My hobbies outside of the net are scooter riding and autocross racing my car.

Everyone.net Email login

I will be glad to have a login option for everyone.net free email service which my site uses. Certainly i am waiting for the elgg plugin. Even hough it says Jfusion can integrate elgg, its not seen in features of jfusion.
Elgg can give users much more which joomla cant give. Even there is no such free blog component in joomla yet!
