Marius, nice comment about not having to upgrade for every point release. Also, as long as the Devs are in not danger of burn-out, keep the bug fixes coming.
Season Greetings to all. Best Wishes to the JFusion Team for a great 2010.

I've been looking forward to the discussion bot update so can't wait to try it although I am waiting so I can post this comment...
Anyway, as for the frequent updates...not only is that not bad...that is great! Open Source software is meant to have the community test it and check for bugs...If you want the developers to "do more beta testing" then I'm sure they would be happy to if they were paid for it. So feel free to make a donation for the package.

I am looking forward to JFusion 2.0 the most. I really want to incorporate CB into my production site (click my name). I currently have phpBB3 set to master and joomla as slave, and things are stable. There are some components in CB that I am greatly interested in, but I fear that it may be too risky to add it in at this point (with 250+ users).
Can I look forward to support between phpbb3, Joomla, and CB in 2.0? I know it's possible with hacks in 1.2.x, but I'd rather wait. Also, will 2.0 mean those of us using 1.2.x will face issues when upgrading? A version number increase typically indicates no upgrade, since there are so many major changes - is this true?
Thanks for all the answers! I am afraid to change my production site to add CB, even though it would add tons of functionality. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is what I have learned

what about a bridge to SMF RC2?
written by RottNKorpse, January 10, 2010
I think making a plugin for SMF 2.0 RC2 would be insane and illogical. Why? you may ask...because it is an RC which means Release Candidate which in turn means that it is not a fully stable release. Development for any project that doesn't have a final stable release would be illogical. JFusion does have support for SMF on their current stable release 1.1.x so until 2.0 becomes a stable release it would simply be a waste of time for them to build a plugin for it. (btw they don't use the term bridge as it technically isnt a bridge)

(not sure if this will doublepost)
I've decided to go with JomSocial instead of CB. I'm not sure if JFusion will work, and am trying desperately to make it work. I've created a thread, but no replies yet. Let me know if you guys can help me out... thread is here: http://www.jfusion.org/index.p...043#p31043
Thanks a lot
I love JFusion and don't want to have to switch because of JomSocial :/ but I need JomSocial

Apologies for hijacking this comments page but I'm out of options
I'm trying to send a pre-install question via the contact us page or post it on the forums but the verification image isn't working on the site and forum registration is disabled!
Any suggestions on how to contact jFusion support?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Marius but the email link is truncated so I can't see the full URL
I did try at /index.php/forums/ucp.php?mode=register but got the error "Creating a new account is currently not possible."

I upgraded from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3 with the automatic module.
After the upgrade the login sync is broken.
I can login from the forum phpbb3 (master) and I am indeed logged in into joomla, I cannot do the opposite.
Every time I go from the joomla portal to phpbb3 I lose the logged-in status and I have to log-in again.
Please help!

SMF 2.0 RC2 is pretty stable. Know really large forums working on it.
Is there any way to test beta of JFusion 2.0 with new SMF bridge?
