SMF community under siege

Joomla has been working very hard as a community to work together and engage with each other to make Joomla a better product. Open Source Matters (OSM) the not for profit organisation that manages Joomla, has also been making a lot of progress in beng more transparent and asking for community involvement. Community Builder Plugin Released

I've released a Community Builder plugin that will display a JFusion tab on a CB user's profile.

It can display a user's avatar, profile link, number off pm's (only to the user logged in on his/her own profile page), and the user's activity from phpBB, vB, or SMF.

It requires at least JFusion 1.2.4. Note that this plugin does not sync information in any way.

100+ unique threads last week

It is a "flurry" of activity at jfusion at the moment and there the interest in jfusion is increasing every week. Last week we had a 100 unique threads on the jfusion.org forum. We made sure everybody received a reply resulting in hundreds of single posts last week. We also set the record for most users online recently. Thank you for the extensive testing you have done on JFusion 1.2.1 in the last 2 days. This release fixes the following issues:

- Double PM information line removed from the login module

- fixed LCP issue for phpbb activity module, as a result from a bug fix to hide unapproved posts in Jfusion 1.2.1

- fixed issue with SMF activity module post having the same subject title

I am extremely proud to announce that JFusion 1.2.0 has been released after a huge effort of the JFusion Development Team. It has been a little while after JFusion 1.1.3 was released 3 months ago, with 300+ commits of code to our SVN. He is very experienced with Joomla development and already has got a working JFusion Elgg plugin that has user sync / dual login capabilities. New Versioning mechanism and Installer

After a lot of internal discussion within the team (primarily the developers), we have come up with a new versioning mechanism. The emphasis is now on reaching a stable release as soon as possible.

Retiring the feeds service

In early January we launched an RSS Feeds service through Google Feedburner.

The RSS Feeds service had a huge uptake however in recent months the number of subscribers has dramatically reduced we now have less than 32 active subscribers.

Accordinly from today we are decomissiong the feeds service, the last alerts have now deployed and the service switched off.

Language Translation Facility
